Sweet Tuna Pasta Casserole - This tasty tuna casserole recipe has a little sweet added to it in the form of healthy, juicy apples. They add the perfect tartness and crunch, to this pleasant tuna and hearty pasta mix. Ingredients to make Sweet Tuna Pasta Casserole
2 c Macaroni
6 tb Butter or margarine
1/4 c All-purpose flour
3 c Milk
2 c Processed american cheese
2 c Tuna in water; drained
2 c Tart apples; core/dice
2 tb Butter or margarine; melted
1/2 c Bread crumbs; soft
Directions to make Sweet Tuna Pasta Casserole
Step 1:Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. In saucepan, melt 6 tb butter or margarine over low heat. Blend in flour and 3/4 ts salt. Add milk all at once. Cook quickly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Step 2:Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted. Stir in tuna, diced apples and drained macaroni; turn into 12×7×2 inch baking dish. Combine melted butter and crumbs. Sprinkle on top of casserole.
Step 3:Bake in 350~ oven for 30 minutes, or until apples are tender.
